Elgin Power Solutions designs and builds custom switchgear for industrial, renewable, and utility markets. Since 1977, Elgin has served as a one-stop shop for customers building a wide range of metal-enclosed custom switchgear applications. Elgin has in-house engineering teams, fabrication facilities, complete assembly, and the ability to fully test equipment.
Flexibility
Elgin will utilize all major manufacturer’s components, such as breakers, disconnect switches, fuses, output circuits, as well as CTs and PTs for metering and protection. Our metal enclosed switchgear lineups are fabricated in-house with NEMA 3R enclosures for applications up to 35KV. We can also package other OEM metal clad switchgear as well, if desired. For severe corrosive environments we offer optional aluminum or stainless-steel enclosures.

Full Service
Elgin’s in-house team of engineers and field service technicians serve to support customers over the equipment’s lifetime.
All of Elgin’s enclosures are powder coated to ANSI C57.12 standards utilizing a five step cleaning process followed by a durable baked on finish that is highly resistant to acids, alkalis, sunlight, and salt corrosive environments. Standard colors are ANSI 61 Dark Gray, ANSI 70 Light Gray, Munsel Green, White, or High Visibility yellow. Custom colors are available on request.
