Custom Integration
Elgin Power Solutions designs and builds low and medium-voltage custom enclosures up to 38kV. Some of Elgin’s primary custom enclosures include recloser cabinets, metering cabinets, relay/control enclosures, VFD & soft starters, and enclosed voltage regulators.
Concept to Completion
Elgin is able to start from a blank sheet of paper and design a fully customized product. Elgin will fabricate and powder coat paint the enclosure, populate the electrical componentry and fully test the units, which is all performed all in-house at our 100,000 square-foot manufacturing facility located in West Virginia.

- Available voltage range of 2.4 to 38 kV
- Lower install and maintenance costs
- Designs available for top, bottom and side cable entry and exit
- Glass-reinforced viewing windows
- Front, side and motor operators are available for each disconnect switch
- Indoor (NEMA 1) and Outdoor (NEMA 3R) enclosures are available
- Three-point latching pad-lockable handles
- Bolt-on doors are available upon request
- Units can be pad or skid-mounted
- Units can be retrofitted to operate in conjunction with existing switchgear or equipment per exact customer requirements
- Units are very robust, built with a minimum 11-gauge mild steel, all-welded construction
- Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Galvannealed Steel enclosures are available upon request
- Touch proof barriers and insulating boards available. Clear polycarbonate and glass polyester laminate (GPO-3) are used
