The American Industrial Mining Company

Wednesday, November 30, 2016

The mining industry is vital to our nation as a source of economic opportunity, infrastructural information, and geoscience research.  Organizations like the American Industrial Mining Company (AIMCo) help protect and promote mining for current and future generations.

AIMCo is a non-profit dedicated to preserving mining and industrial segments throughout the US.  Their team is passionate about saving the future through the preservation of our past.  They locate, preserve and restore historical mining equipment and provide educational experiences to encourage others to pursue mining careers.

As part of their efforts, AIMCo operates an exhibit at the National Pike Steam show grounds that allows viewers to a coal mine operation.  It is the only place in the world that demonstrates a fully functional coal mine above ground.

We’re proud to serve an industry that contributes greatly to the heritage and hope of our county.  And we are grateful to organizations like AIMCo that support the mining industry and the men and women who serve in it. If you’d like to learn more about AIMCo, check out this video.
